Use this calculator to estimate your Air Force Physical Fitness Test score. Enter your performance for each component below.
The Air Force Physical Fitness Test (PT Test) is a comprehensive assessment of an airman's physical fitness. Calculating the PT Test score involves evaluating performance across four different components and converting raw scores into points.
The PT Test score is calculated by summing the points earned in each of the four components:
$$\text{PT Test Score} = \text{Waist Score} + \text{Push-ups Score} + \text{Sit-ups Score} + \text{Run Score}$$
Where:
Let's calculate the PT Test score for an airman with the following performance:
Step 1: Convert raw scores to points (using simplified formulas)
Waist: $$\max(0, \min(20, 20 - (32 - 30) \times 2)) = 16 \text{ points}$$
Push-ups: $$\min(10, \frac{40}{5}) = 8 \text{ points}$$
Sit-ups: $$\min(10, \frac{45}{5}) = 9 \text{ points}$$
Run: $$\max(0, \min(60, 60 - \frac{750 - 600}{10})) = 45 \text{ points}$$
Step 2: Sum the points from all components
$$\begin{align} \text{Total PT Test Score} &= 16 + 8 + 9 + 45 \\ &= 78 \text{ points} \end{align}$$
Therefore, this airman's estimated PT Test score is 78 points.
This radar chart illustrates the scores for each component in our Air Force PT Test example calculation. The chart provides a visual representation of the airman's performance across all four components, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
